The Image Processing Applications Laboratory (IPALab) was founded in 2008 to address current and important image processing problems from a variety of different fields. IPALab is affiliated with the School of Biological and Health Systems Engineering, the School of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering, and the Sensor, Signal, and Information Processing Center at Arizona State University. IPALab actively collaborates with industry partners (4-D Imaging, Inc., Bard Peripheral Vascular, Inc., Boeing, Inc., ev3 Neurovascular, Inc., Cam Motion Cranes, Inc.), medical institutions (Mayo Clinic Arizona, St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, Phoenix Children's Hospital, Phoenix VA Healthcare System, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital), and laboratories at other academic institutions (Carnegie Mellon University, Georgia Institute of Technology, University of California Los Angeles). Specific ongoing projects within IPALab are described in the Projects section of this site.
